Welcome to Morocco!
You probably arrive at Marrakech Menara airport. We pick you up and bring you to your hotel. For the rest of the day, you have time to acclimatize and free time to discover the impressive ‘red city’ of Marrakech.
You could visit Djemaa El Fnaa, drink some delicious fresh fruit juice, enjoy the snake charmers and wander around in the souks.
We drive to Imi Oughlad (by minibus or 4×4), over there we pick up the mules and their muleteers that will carry our luggage and tents during the trip. Then we’ll have a 5-hour walk via the Tacht pass to the Azaden valley.
Our cook will prepare a picnic lunch along the route. In the Azaden Valley, we have dinner in a camp and pass the night. The camp itself is be fairly basic; bedding, matrasses, and toilet facilities are provided
Today we walk along the northern slope and pass some Amazigh villages. We will climb to 3030 meters today.
We can enjoy the beautiful scenery and we have a picnic lunch on the slope. Dinner and stay are in our camp
Today we walk across the Aguelzim pass (3550m) and descend to the Toubkal Base Camp. We camp outside the refuge. Dinner and stay are in our camp
Today is the day that we actually walk to the top of Mount Toubkal and back to the base camp. We have dinner and stay in our camping spot near the Toubkal Base Camp.
If it’s possible (our guide will decide, depending on the weather and the group) we walk to Mount Ouanakrim (4088 m).
Later on, we descend to the village Aremd where we have dinner and stay in a gite (rural Moroccan home) with a shower and toilet.
We walk to Imlil and from there on we will take the minibus to Marrakech. On the go, we stop to have lunch. We stay at a hotel in Marrakech, free time in Marrakech
This is the last day of your trip (unless you booked some extra nights). You have free time in Marrakech and when it’s time to leave we bring you to the airport.
